Services

Welcome! I am so excited that you have found your way here. Whether or not you choose to work with me or someone else, I am celebrating every person who is taking action of any kind to make changes in their life, in order to have a life they love and are ecstatic about. That action could be as small as just browsing this page, and it could be as big as making a call or emailing (someone, anyone!). Every person deserves to have the well-being and success they are looking for.

The main focus of this page is to discuss my approach to therapy services. Please see the “Contact” page for ways to connect with other types of services/offerings within different organizations.

Therapeutic Approach

My biggest passion in therapy is in working with high achievers; working with these amazing people is one of the biggest thrills and life-giving adventures of my career. High achievers face very unique challenges and often report feeling misunderstood by others, despite being considered “successful” in the eyes of others. Our work together is aimed to work through these challenges and empower the high-achiever into living their most fulfilled and aligned life… without giving up their dreams and goals of wild success.

High Achiever Stress

Many high achievers struggle with challenges related to their intense drive and ambition that others struggle to relate to (even if well-meaning!), and that can also leave them feeling drained and burned out (if not channeled in a healthy manner). They also often struggle with boundaries, people pleasing, and “taking on too much.” Some common struggles I hear are: “I have everything, why am I not happy?”, “I am so embarrassed for other people to know that my relationship isn’t what it seems,” “I feel like my work has no meaning or purpose,” and, “I’m terrified to fail.” My work with high achievers in therapy is to actively work through any of these above-stated challenges and struggles, with fulfillment and meaning as our end goals and the light at the end of our tunnel.

Goals in Therapy

Essentially, my goal is to help clients develop skills to manage their symptoms of distress (e.g., anxiety, depression) while also equipping them with the tools to feel successful, empowered, confident, worthy, and supported. My work is focused on working with clients are ready to make active changes but struggle with the support and information needed to take the next step. Through our work together, I aim to make sure my clients walk away knowing they are powerful, important, capable, and beyond worthy to have anything they want in life.

An easy way to imagine this approach is that I am usually doing Therapy + Mindset Coaching within our sessions. The idea is that I believe my clients to be whole people who simply need coping skills to manage difficult past and present events, and that they also have the ability and desire to not just return to “normal functioning” but to live the life they have been craving and yearning for. After all, why bring someone to “baseline” by just focusing on coping skills, if baseline isn’t even where they are more fulfilled and joyful? My clients benefit from exploring both the difficult and the exciting, the uncomfortable and the comfortable, the new and the old, and in a way that uses their personal desires to create their life on the blank canvas of the new chances that every day brings.

Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach focuses on working together to improve overall well-being through three different areas: (a) learning important and evidence-based coping skills; (b) improving communication skills, becoming incredible at boundary-setting, and keeping healthy relationship dynamics at the forefront of all environments and relationships; and (c) work toward feeling massively fulfilled and living a life of purpose, meaning, and thriving. For many people, this equates to working together within the context of psychotherapy. (However, if you feel you may benefit from an informational or educational course instead, please see the “Contact” page for information on where to find those resources from me). I am currently licensed to provide services to individuals in any of the 40+ PSYPACT states (check here to see if your state is one of the qualifying states HERE), and my home state of licensure is in Ohio. My clientele for therapy are adults ages 18 through 60. (Please see “Contact” page for more information on how to connect with me for therapy).
